Beyond research

Outreach, an internship, video work, and what I do off duty.

Robotics education for children

The Nerd Lab, Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science · April–August 2021

For the opening of a new Shinsegae department store in Daejeon, our team developed robotics learning materials for children. To show how robots use sensors and how sensor fusion works, we built a wearable demonstrator with an encoder and an inertial measurement unit.

Internship · 2019

Engineering internship at Samsung Electro-Mechanics

Components division · July–August 2019

Our intern team proposed a diagonal horizontally mounted capacitor (D‑HMC) to reduce the acoustic noise of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs). The idea was selected as the best presentation among the teams in the components department. Parts of the slides are blurred for intellectual‑property reasons.

Off duty

Performance driving

I’m drawn to the precision and physical feedback of circuit driving—feeling the chassis load up through the seat and steering wheel in high-g corners. Through progressive on-track training (including the BMW M Intensive, Mercedes-AMG Performance, and HMG N Track Performance programs) in limit handling, weight transfer, and low-grip car control, I’m steadily working my way from lead-follow sessions toward solo open-track driving.

Off duty

Photography and music

Outside research, I enjoy travel photography and music.

Music

Singing and rapping are two of my hobbies. I enjoy practicing both at noraebang, Korea’s karaoke rooms.
